Cam4.com, a Free Webcam Site for the Real Pervs!

I don’t know why this cam4.com isn’t as popular as some of the mainstream cam sites, but it should be. To be honest, I was really impressed with it, as there are not so many sites offering that much for free.

But let us start from the very beginning. I did a little research and found out that this site was founded back in 2007. But they say it wasn’t a cam site where models do pervy stuff for tokens, it was just a venue for adults who enjoy showing off or peeking on each other.

But then everything changed…

So, back to 2015. The visual part is not very good, I didn’t like the color gamma at all, plus banners advertising porn are really ugly.

Cam4 Interface and Usability

Initially, when you enter the site you see what you usually see at cam sites: a header containing site name and a quite standard menu. Previews aren’t uploadable avatars, but snapshots taken during the show (thank you, cam4!). When you stop your mouse cursor on one of the thumbnails, those snapshots start quickly rewind backwards so you can see what was going on in that room for the last few minutes.

The chat room itself looks neat, but that video stream window is really small. I don’t know whether you can enter fullscreen mode as a paid member, but you definitely can’t do that as a free one. The chat window is unnecessarily huge, dammit no one’s messages are that large!

Under the video screen there are few quick tip buttons that allow you to tip tokens in one click. Besides you can enter token amount yourself and send a specific text message with a request attached to your tip. Also you can add the model you watching to your friendlist or favorites, subscribe, send mail and share the link to their video chat. Very useful functions if you ask me!

Registration, Prices, Payment Methods

Signing up is simple: you just fill in your nick, password, email and birthdate, then approve your registration from your mailbox and you’re in. The only advantage of being a free registered user I could find is that you’re able to chat with models (non-registered members can only watch the shows).

Ah, one more. Apparently, you don’t need to verify your age on this site, as any user can just turn his camera on and start broadcasting as a model. I don’t know how those people who run this site deal with law, but I applause them as I didn’t think that was possible. Though mind that I’ve tried if I could turn my camera on at this site just for the fun of the thing, so don’t hope to find me among those guys playing with their purple-helmeted knights of love online.

Tokens cost $0.17-0.20 depending on how much you’re going to buy. There’s a 100 free tokens gift if you but Gold membership, but I failed to find out what advantages does it provide you with.

Few more things

Cam4.com has a blog. Yeah, I never thought cam sites had blogs, but this one is the second cam site with a blog I ran into lately. Also, cam4 provides new cammers with useful info, there’s a bunch of articles and a coach (!!!) for the newcomers.

Nude shows are easy to find here and one can see quite a lot for free. I guess privates are not popular here, models just do their naughty stuff without even asking to be paid and grateful guests of their rooms merely leave tokens they aren’t obliged to leave. Pretty weird, but damn it, I like that!

One more good thing, cam4.com raffles money prizes among the models — daily, weekly and monthly.

Overall

I enjoyed the site and I’m definitely going to come back as there were a few super nice girls I met and they were kind enough to show me and a bunch of guys in their rooms some really crazy stuff.

Prices are also moderate, and I even start thinking about actually throwing a few coins on my account as those minxes often do some wild stuff in their chat rooms and it’s definitely worth a tip.
