I was lucky to arrive at camplace shortly after they have re-designed it. So, my first impression from this site is great. That doesn’t look like some sassy expensive bordello in red light district, but it’s quite neat and really cool-looking.
The old site version is still available, though. I checked that out too and I must admit those guys did a good work. I guess their old version is about to disappear, so hurry up if you want to enjoy the contrast.
Camplace.com General Interface
Like I said, the interface is quite cool and comfy. There’s a menu on the top where you can choose whether to watch pre-recorded shows and pics, live cams or go to a dating site or send a message to the support team. You can also choose another language from the list if you don’t want English and also there’s a huge registration button.
There’s a small settings menu that allows you customize the site looks according to your preferences. You can set up thumbnail previews’ size and how many of them will there be on the page. Besides, you can configure what kind of information will be displayed under the each thumbnail and filter the models according their country/porn categories/Languages they speak/cam services they provide/ratings/display type/online status and gender. Quite impressive, if you ask me.
Also you can customize thumbnails themselves: you can set an avatar mode which displays models’ avatars or camprev mode which captures screenshots of the each girl’s cam show every other moment. Whatever option you choose, when you stop mouse cursor on any girl’s preview a live translation of her shows starts in that tiny window so you can always get an idea of what’s going on in the room before even joining it.
Cam Room Interface
The initial size of the video stream window is average, but you can go full screen at once. That feature is available both for free members and non-registered users. Until you register though, you won’t be available to send messages in most chatrooms.
There are few buttons but to me, they’re pointless. Okay you can tip your model or go to the private, but why would you want to refresh the whole page by clicking that button under the video screen? At first I thought it refreshed the video stream only but hell no, it refreshes the whole damn page.
Also you can go to the previous and next cam room by clicking those two little arrows pointing right and left. If you scroll the page down, you’re going to see more cam room previews.
How Does One Sign Up and Pay?
Nickname, password, e-mail. Then you confirm it from your mailbox and voila! — you’re a free user. It took me about a minute to register at camplace.com. But what I found weird is that apparently you don’t have to confirm your age to cam here as I turned on my own camera and it perfectly worked. Do you guys reckon that’s fine? ‘Cause I don’t think so!
Now, about the payment. For me, there were only two payment options available: Credit/Debit Card and Money Wire. Guys, really? It’s 21st century, dammit! You could’ve worked out with something else by now. The site operates a token system and the prices are low. Here they are:
200 Tokens for 19.99 USD/EUR
550 Tokens for 49.99 USD/EUR
900 Tokens for 74.99 USD/EUR (there’s a -20% discount, but I don’t know whether it’s temporary or permanent)
1875 Tokens for 149.99 USD/EUR (same -20% discount)
Conclusion
The site is alright. There are girls who go wild right there in free chat room and you can see them fucking/sucking for free. But just as anywhere else, the majority of them don’t even flash boobies in their free chat.
The only thing I really didn’t like about the site is the amount of girls camming. Fine, I admit I was browsing it at 3 am but man, there were only about 70 rooms online! So I’d say this site may be a cool experience, but not for a long time.
